Manor House Nursery has been providing an exceptional level of children’s care since 1994. Situated in an old manor house, our nursery allows our children the freedom to move around the nursery rather than separating age groups into different rooms. Our rooms provide plenty of space and a multitude of opportunities for learning, such as exploring movement on our climbing frames, using different materials in the art areas, taking a rest if they fancy or investigating the latest resources in one of our many interest-led areas. Manor House Nursery also has a large, private garden which is accessible at all times.
The nursery prides itself on the level of qualification of its staff, with a number of qualified teachers in the building at all times. With plenty of space for the children to play in, ours is a traditionally charming nursery characterised by exciting, innovative practices.

XXXX has settled into nursery and has made lots of new friends. He talks about what he has done and people he has played with. I am pleased with how he’s come on and how much more confident and sociable he has become.
A big thank you to all of you for taking such good care of XXXXX for the past 14 months. He has loved his time at Manor House and we have been confident that he is going to have a lovely day while we go to work which has been fantastic. Our philosophy
At Manor House Nursery we like to do things a little differently. We value the autonomy of our children and encourage freedom of movement and thought. We offer each individual child opportunities to explore the wonders of the world around them supported by a framework of praise, recognition and security. Our children move freely among our beautiful, well-equipped rooms – each one designed to fulfil a different purpose, offer a different challenge or provide a different form of comfort. Meanwhile, our “family groups” structure allows children to develop organically within a natural family unit, free from the anxiety and disruption of continually moving rooms or carers. We believe that children should have the opportunity to learn through play in an open, honest and engaging space, led by the brightest minds and an abundance of love.
